Wildflowers 2025 Retreat
Ukiah, CA, November 7-10, 2025
“Now when I attend retreats, it’s simply to be in the company of friends who share a deep love of truth, and to rest. Not to strive. Not to effort. Not to gain.”
Here’s what you can expect at this year’s Wildflowers retreat…
The chance to be with other Wildflowers Community members in person,
A structured itinerary with plenty of free and rest time,
Easy access to nature and pleasant weather (not too hot or cold),
An agenda of activities that allows for the most financially accessible retreat possible, without sacrificing your comfort.
Travel Logistics & Planning
Lodging
We are so excited that we were able to book the home that we had set our eyes on in Ukiah, CA! For those of you who like I was, are wondering how to pronounce it, it’s oooh-kai-ahhh. :)
Address: 2801 Redemeyer Road, Ukiah, CA 95482
You can also check out their AirBnB link for more photos and information about the amenities.
Airports: STS, SFO or OAK
Charles M Schulz, Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the nearest airport to the lodging site, however it is a smaller airport so flights may be more limited/expensive. This airport is approximately 1 hours from the retreat site. If you choose to fly into this airport on Friday, I will plan on providing pick up and transportation for arrivals between 4-6pm. We can also accommodate transportation to this airport for departures on Sunday and Monday.
For those who choose to fly into SFO or OAK (which may be more affordable with more flight times, as they are larger airports), you may want to coordinate with others in order to share a ride to the house. This airport is approximately 2.5 hours from the retreat site, so early afternoon arrivals may be best for carpooling.
We will send out a spreadsheet for everyone to fill out their travel details (including airports and arrival times that you are considering), and reach out to each other if you would like to try and coordinate your arrival.
Check In/Arrival & Departures
Check out the Arrivals and Departures Spreadsheet for more details.
Gaby White and I will be checking into the AirBnB at 4pm (or earlier if the host allows it) on Friday, and you can plan to arrive anytime after 5pm that day. If you need to arrive earlier that's okay as well.
We have some participants who will depart on Sunday, and others who will depart on Monday. For Sunday departures, you may depart at any time (and we will coordinate rides needed to STS). For Monday departures, we need to check out of the house by 11:00am. Once we begin to fill out the travel spreadsheet we can organize the final day's activities and airport transportation for this day.

Attire
Please, come with your most comfortable and cozy clothes. We will also plan for some time out in nature, so you’ll want comfortable walking/hiking shoes, and some layers. If you’re interested in using the pool and/or hot tub, be sure to bring a suit. We may opt for a meal out on the final optional day, but that would be at a casual restaurant. Nothing “fancy” will be required. We will be keeping an eye on the forecast, and will provide more details as we get closer to the date.
Here's a weather snippet from google: "Daily high temperatures decrease by 12°F, from 69°F to 58°F, rarely falling below 51°F or exceeding 79°F. Daily low temperatures decrease by 5°F, from 44°F to 39°F, rarely falling below 30°F or exceeding 52°F."

What if I can’t afford the retreat cost?
Given the limited capacity and resources of the business, I am unable to offer scholarships for the retreat at this time. However, if you are very interested in attending, and the retreat fee is just out of reach for you financially, I encourage you to apply to be on the waitlist. Cancellations may provide an opportunity for another participant to attend at a lower retreat fee.
What if I am not sure about leaving my family for several nights?
This year the retreat will last 2 nights in order to reduce the time that you have to spend away from family, with a 3rd night option for those who would like an extra day to rest in nature and good company. If you feel strongly torn about attending for any reason, this may not be the year for you. Before filling out an application, I suggest that you schedule a call where you can get some Listening Time, and also where you can share your concerns or questions with me.
Will there be alcohol?
Alcohol will not be provided with meals nor will it be allowed during the retreat.
What if I can’t plan that far ahead because of my work or other circumstances?
If you would like to attend but are unable to plan this far in advance, I encourage you to apply and please let me know of your circumstances so we can include you on the waitlist. In order for the retreat to move forward, I need 6 people to confirm sooner than later, so please only use this option if your inability to plan ahead has to do with factors out of your control.
What if I feel nervous about meeting other community members in person?
Every year, everyone has felt a little bit nervous about meeting either the people they have known online for several years, or others in the community that they have never met at all, in person. If this is how you are feeling too, it makes sense! I do schedule a few calls leading up to the event, as an opportunity for all retreat registrants to virtually meet, do listening time, and connect prior to meeting in person.
I’m having mixed feelings about attending the retreat, and/or I am not sure if I would feel comfortable attending.
If you feel strongly torn about attending, and/or have any major reservations coming up for you around this event, this may not be the year for you. However, as with anything else, I would invite you to bring some of your feelings and thoughts to me by scheduling an appointment here. I will be glad to listen, as well as address any questions or concerns that you are having.
What exactly will we be doing?
Previous itineraries have included reflection and sharing activities, Special Time, Listening Time and plenty of free time in between. For this next retreat, the venue will have easy access to nature as well. Also this time around, I will be attending the retreat for Hand In Hand Instructors during the summer prior to our retreat, and hope to bring some new ideas from there as well.
What are the expectations for shared labor (cooking, cleaning, etc.)?
Retreat participants will only be responsible for maintaining any common and shared spaces relatively decluttered. You will not be expected to prepare or clean up after meals, you do enough of this at home!
